browns' future is looking pretty grim if they give up 6 draft picks for a one year wonder. call stl's bluff. i don't think the redskins, dolphins and kc are really part of this fabricated bidding war for griffin.
ReplyDeleteGriffin is not a 1 year wonder. He has steadily progressed each season even with a busted knee one year.
DeleteAdam im 60% sure he only has us trading 3 picks not 6. Also remember 60% of the time im correct everytime.
ReplyDeleteThis must not have been made by an actual BROWNS fan, this sucks for the Browns team.
ReplyDeleteGiven the choice between picking ROBERT GRIFFIN III @ #2 OR JUSTIN BLACKMON & DONTARI POE plus Mike Adams in the 2nd round after his poor showing at the combine.....Seriously? That's not a choice. You pick the 3 players that improve your TEAM. Colt has not had the chance to survive let a lone succeed since joining the league. You must give him weapons before expecting greatness. Last year he had no wideouts and no running back and a right side of the line that was better off being left empty. Getting a guard in free agency, Adams in round 2 and Blackmon in Round 1 - you solve 3 problems out of 4. Plus you get a stud D-lineman. If Colt still sucks - dont worry you'll have a high draft pick next year too....to get a QB
ReplyDeleteWhy would you draft Dontari Poe with the 2nd 1st rounder? We don't need a DT. We should either go OL or DE with that second pick.
DeleteIt all depends if Cleveland can get a QB in free agency. Don't tell me that Colt's a good QB with no receivers, he can't throw deep. I like the idea of getting Justin Blackmon and Nick Perry in the first round and Mike Adams in the second round, but it doesn't matter if they can't get Peyton Manning, Matt Flynn, or Kyle Orton. My guess is they can't, in which case I'd trade #4, #36, and a second or first round pick in 2013 for RGIII , take Cordy Glenn later in the first and maybe Devier Posey in the third round.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a Browns fan but a lot of people in my family are, so I attend games and keep up on them. Personally, they would be crazy to trade away their draft for RGIII. Take Blackmon or Claiborn, and then a solid d-lineman to pair with that rookie, can't recall his name. Or better yet, take blackmon give Colt a weapon and trade the other first rounder for a first next year and another pick this year. That way if Colt fails u have the picks to move up and take a QB next year.
ReplyDeleteWe are not trading away our draft in this trade. 22 can be looked at as a luxury pick. IMO 22 and giving up a 3rd round pick next year is a small price to pay for a Franchise QB.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Richardson will fall that far, I think the Bengals will trade their two picks to someone like Buffalo to pick him up
ReplyDeleteDid u watch the combine? RGIII was one of the best athletes out there. Not to mention he has a really accurate, strong arm. Cleveland would be crazy not to go after him. Colt is a good back up qb at best.
ReplyDeleteRGIII + a young #1 WR in free agency is what cleveland needs for their future
ReplyDeletedid my fellow browns fans forget we don't have a single wr that would start on a playoff team? did they also forget my greek brother tony pashos might be the worst right tackle we have seen? how about peyton hillis being bitchmade and montario hardesty's porcelain body?
ReplyDeletemortgaging the future for griffin is like throwing 22 inch rims on totaled car.
i want griffin, but no rookie is worth two first round picks + a array of 2nd-3rd-4th picks.
also the moron that tried that 60% comment: my basis of the 5 players for comparison was the price san diego paid to trade up for eli manning. i didn't even consider this person's mock because there isn't a chance in hell stl will accept that trade.
The more I ponder the Browns draft position, the more I think they would be better off in the long run to take Blackmon at #4, the best available speed rusher at #22, and a dependable OG/OT at #36. There aren't many quality running backs not named Trent Richardson in the first two rounds, and I think Blackmon is a more valuable pick at #4. There's a strong possibility that Kirk Cousins could be available at #68 (round #3) which would be an awsome draft for the Browns. This doesn't even account for the other third round pick and picks in rounds 4 thru 7. I just cant see giving up multiple high draft picks for a single unproven player, even with the credentials that RG#3 may have. The Browns have gambled way too much in the past and thats what has gotten them where they are today.
